Ryan began his boating career in the waters of Glacier Bay, Alaska, but has called Newport, Rhode Island, home base for the past 25 years. He has worked with both power and sailing vessels across a wide range of settings—from inshore and offshore cruising to competitive racing.
In addition to serving as captain and crew aboard a variety of yachts, Ryan has managed refits and overseen new builds and enjoys training clients on their boat’s systems and operation with the result of prepared, safe and enjoyable time on the water.
Ryan focuses on helping clients find the right yacht for their needs—whether for adventure, relaxation, or racing—while providing straightforward, informed guidance throughout the buying process and beyond.
When he’s not helping clients find their perfect yacht, Ryan enjoys sailing his vintage Lightning-class sailboat around Narragansett Bay and skiing with his wife and two children.
