Gregg’s very first job was commissioning Little Harbor Yachts in Marblehead, MA. That pivotal introduction led him to his position as mate on sailing and power yachts, building his skills to captain and running ever-increasing sizes of power vessels. This experience culminated with him overseeing the build of a 110’ motoryacht as captain for a previous charter client.
Moving ashore, Gregg has been a yacht broker for the past 20 years. He has expertise in selling all levels and designs of boats, such as Hunt, Little Harbor, Grand Banks, Sunseeker, Burger, Delta, Broward, Westport, Jack Williams, Offshore and Wilbur. He prides himself on a long list of repeat clients who have come to expect Gregg’s loyalty, listening skills and honesty.
In the fall of 2014, he shifted his focus and immersed himself in the North Bennett Street School in Boston for cabinet and furniture building. He then attended and graduated from the International Yacht Restoration School in Newport (IYRS) with an additional nine-month course in Marine Systems.
Gregg is currently a shipwright at McMillen Yachts where he occasionally serves as captain on the likes of Trumpy or Consolidated Yachts that have been restored to their original splendor.
A lifetime of experience comes with Gregg to Wellington Yacht Partners. It is a team that embodies the aspects of brokering he values: quality yachts, New England honesty and depth of experience.
Gregg and his partner Joe live in Newport with their dog Doc and never tire of using their classic power and sailing yachts, occasional racing on some beautiful pieces of yachting history and skiing throughout New England.
